Current: On-Site Station Setup

Administrative Portal > Work > Stations > On-Site Station Setup

One of the main advantages of having employees clock in at a station is that you know exactly where the station is. This way you don’t needs to rely on the employee’s phone for GPS.

There are 2 ways to verify the location of your station:

1. By IP Address. IP addresses can be used to identify the location of the station device. For example, an iPad with IP address 24.59.21.115 can be created as a Station with the name “Site #3” with one allowed job called “Site #3 Job”. No setup is required on that iPad other than to open its browser and enter this link https://timeclock.telephonetimesheets.com. The fact that the traffic is coming from that specific IP address allows our system to know which station settings to use.

2. By Station Code. If the IP address method is not an option, the station can be setup manually by an administrator by opening the device’s browser to https://timeclock.telephonetimesheets.com/#/station and entering the 6-digit station setup code. The location of stations can be trusted, as only an authorized administrator has the ability to enter the unique setup code. The unique setup code for each station is displayed on the Stations page in the administrative portal.
